The Red Eye Transit record label delivers high-end, unique and innovative music drawn from the avant-garde of performers around the world. Prominence is placed on the quality and tangibility of releasing, alongside other formats, a beautiful, hard copy product, enthralling music fans with a melody of musical expression and design creativity.
Analog were selected to carry out the initial record label branding, identity and holding page projects seen elsewhere on this website. To support the growth of the label we were delighted to be briefed to take it to the next level and create a compelling state of the art website as a home for Red Eye and their growing artist roster. The marketing objective was to reflect the ethos and personality of the brand, extend audience reach and involve fans with news, events and merchandise, conveying positive and vibrant messages on both the interactive site and through social media channel feeds whilst increasing material sales.
Concepts for a uniform and visually interesting design were drawn from the Teenage Engineering OP1 portable synth and were developed creatively into a sound keypad design. This is an intuitively discoverable hover event on the home page using non artist ‘keys’ and was the strong winner for a relevant, fun and inspiring element. The component is a cutting edge HTML 5 in house solution that allows users to play and compose their own whimsical, ethereal pieces at will. Artist boxes lead from the home page to a dedicated hub page for each performer housing information, a video showcase, images, a music player, tour dates and social media in a clean space. Red Eye Transit takes prime position across the site with contact details a black box blog and the e-commerce shop always easily accessible to users.
